Indulge in Hebert Candies at the Sweets and Snacks Expo
Sweetness attracts more business than bitterness, and with that logic, The Sweets and Snacks Expo was of course packed with the snacking and sweets industry’s top leaders. Easily the snack and confectionery industry’s most anticipated event, we enjoyed being able to mingle with the industry’s top tastes.
We hope that you were able to catch us at the Expo. It was from May 21- 23 at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois. Hebert enjoys answering the calls of their consumer’s sweet tooth and finding new and innovative ways to keep their sweet treats at their finest.
This year, according to the Expo’s website, there was more than 15,000 qualified professionals from over 70 countries. An international blend of confectioners and snack industry professionals will be sure to get wholesale buyers something to chew over long after the expo is over.
Along with Hebert Candies, over 550 companies displayed over 3 Acres of candies and snacks.
The Innovations Award recognizes the top new items that have been taste-tested across eight different categories. We hope you were able to sample Hebert Candies’ flavored chocolate bars!
The Sweets and Snacks Expo is always a great opportunity for industry leaders to match top tastes with wholesale buyers, and to taste some new treats from favorite vendors.
This year, Hebert Candies did anything but melt into the crowd. Hebert Candies was booth number 1485, and their creative concoctions with chocolate will leave you and your consumers with flavorful sweets that will melt in their mouth.
Hebert Candies will be featuring many of their top rated chocolates and treats. They expertly whip up such delights as fudge, salted caramels, smooth and creamy milk chocolate, decadent white chocolate, and health beneficial dark chocolate to name a few.

This past May, Hebert Candies sent a team to the Sweets & Snacks Expo at McCormick Place in Chicago for the 4th year in a row. This 19 year old show is hosted by the National Confectioners Association and this year held more than 720 companies and 16,000 industry professionals from nearly 90 countries.
No one knows exactly how or when fudge was first invented, but culinary legend says it was likely produced by accident in the United States sometime in the nineteenth century.
The main ingredients are sugar, butter, and milk. Here at the Hebert Candy Mansion we still make it the old fashioned way; by hand in small batches in our copper kettles. We love fudge, so we’ve decided to put together some fun facts about it for you to enjoy.
